APE Cardiff is a new initiative created by live music and DJ clubnight promoters in Cardiff.

It provides a forum for first-time, occasional or full-time promoters to air their views, grievances, concerns and ideas. It acts as one voice for promoters to speak to the likes of Cardiff Council, City Centre Management, Welsh Music Foundation and other authorities of professional bodies, and allows a channel for authorities and councils to be heard by promoters. It assures anonymity to its members if desired.

APE Cardiff welcomes any person wanting to promote an event in the city who will endeavour to put on a quality, cutting edge and specialist event.

To act as an independent 'watch-dog' to monitor and assess the impact of UK, national and local government decision making and legislation on the activities of promoters.

To lobby on behalf of Cardiff-based promoters and highlight the contribution made by promoters to the economy and cultural richness of the capital of Wales.

To support and encourage the networking of Cardiff-based promoters.

To highlight examples of good practice and support the showcasing of new talent by promoters in Cardiff.
